It’s commonly believed among medical professionals that viral Hepatitis B and C is responsible for more than 75% of the world’s known cases of liver disease. What makes OptiQuant and the SynTuraâ„¢ Technology so unique is that it involves second generation viral RNA material that behaves much like enveloped mammalian RNA viruses like HCV and HIV. SynTuraâ„¢ enables synthetic sequences to be inserted into mammalian RNA viruses that are shown to be stable in replication and capable of forming infectious RNase resistant virus particles. With this system, labs can design better defined RNA positive controls and quantify standards.
